Fri, November 26, 2004 - 7:21 AMThe weather and the fact that I live an hour from the beach and two hours from the snow and have everything in between. -

Fri, November 26, 2004 - 9:18 AMAmen to that... California's diversity seems to touch all aspects of nature and culture. From sweltering on a beach in SD to skiing in Tahoe, to camping in Ukiah, this state has it all. Sorry Ohio. -

Fri, November 26, 2004 - 9:29 AMI love that it never gets GENUINELY cold here. We really dont know what cold is here.
I also love that snow is a weekend option, not a 4 month commitment every winter. If I feel like a snowball fight, a quick juant up hwy 80 and there I go. When I get tired and wet, drive home and get cozy.
I love that November here looks like May in other states.
I love that I can eat food from a different country every night of the week without leaving my neighborhood
I love that I can have sex with women, men , and if I like " other" without getting the crap beat out of me for it.
I love that my sick father can smoke pot here and not go to jail for it.
I love that I get paid to dress up in a costume and be someone else 22 weeks out of the year.
I love that were on the cutting edge of technology, trends and political revolution here. -

Wed, February 2, 2005 - 10:02 AMspecifically in Sac, i love the small-town feel of the city, it's quaint but has just enough night-life and cool bars. love that i can admire the capitol anytime, it's so gorgeous. also, camping skiing are not too far away if you need to get away.
also, it's just a 2 hr. drive to Reno or SF - whatever you're in the mood for.
lastly, Sac is very diverse.......very.
